BECOMING A MEMBER

The Air Force Honor Guard was established in January 1, 1972 by Headquarters Command as an elite ceremonial unit. Since that time, base Honor Guard teams have been established to exemplify the customs and courtesies of the United States Air Force. These men and women are the base’s “Ambassadors in Blue” and proudly represent the Air Force in a variety of details.

The Yokota Honor Guard is comprised of 25 exceptional performers and exemplary professionals. The team holds itself to the highest standards of appearance, conduct and professionalism.

Service in the Honor Guard is voluntary.
