Mt. Fuji Mandatory Safety Briefing
Every Thu • 5pm • Outdoor Recreation (Bldg. 564) • Free
This safety briefing is mandatory for all who are planning to climb Mt. Fuji on Outdoor Rec trips. Climbers must only attend one safety briefing per season, regardless of how many times you climb Mt. Fuji this year or how many times you have previously climbed it.

Winter Service Center
Drop off your skis or snowboard today for early service to ensure that your equipment is ready for the first run of the season. The extent of maintenance and repairs vary based on the individual needs of the equipment.
• $25-$30 Ski and Snowboard tune up
• $10-$25 Base material repair
• $5-$15 Ski and Snowboard binding and mounting

For single day trips, tours and classes, sign up begins 30 days prior. Overnight trip sign-ups begin 60 days prior. Full payment is required at time of reservation. Space is limited so sign up early! Trip destinations may be altered due to varying factors.


Living in Japan offers many unique and exciting opportunities those who enjoy the great outdoors. Yokota’s Outdoor Recreation is the place to start when planning your adventure. The team of trained professionals can help guide you in planning your own trip, or you may opt to let them do the driving on one of the many seasonal, outdoor adventure tours offered every month. Tours are offered on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays and range from whitewater rafting, climbing majestic Mount Fuji, fishing in Sagami Bay or snowboarding, plus much more. If you are an outdoor enthusiast, you will not want to miss the wonderful opportunities to enjoy the best Japan has to offer.

SOFA personnel may sign up for all trips/classes 30 days prior. Full payment is required to reserve your spot. Equipment rental reservations must be made at the time that you sign up for the trip. All trips and tours depart from Outdoor Recreation, bldg. 564, unless otherwise noted. Please arrive 30 minutes prior to trip departure. All guests must be accompanied for the entire trip. Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

Requirements for day trips with lessons:
•Adult class: Ages 12 and up
•Child class: Ages 6 to 11
•No plastic ski or snowboards allowed
•Children must have the ability & strength to carry his or her own equipment
•Children may not be dropped off; parent must be present when child attends class. (The parent may be at the rest house or taking a class)
•Parent must pick up the child at the end of class
•Space is limited; please reserve class space at time of sign up
•All rental equipment should be reserved in advance

Stop in today if things on your bike aren’t running smoothly. From wheel truing to bottom bracket overhauls, we have you covered. Get back on the fast track and stay there with our full line of maintenance and repair services.

Summer Party Pack Delivery
Want to throw a party but you can’t fit all the equipment you need in your small Japanese car? You can count on us to help make it happen. We will bring the party to you and take it back once all the fun is over. Delivery does not include set up of equipment although we try to place items as close to the desired location as our staffing allows.

$55.00 Small Party: includes 10X10 canopy, 1 big grill, 2 tables,
15 chairs and 1 ice chest.

$90.00 Big Party: includes 20X20 canopy, 1 big grill, 4 tables, 30
chairs, and 2 ice chest.
